Connecticut ID Cards

Driving may not be your preferred choice of how to ?get around,? or maybe you don't meet the qualifications to obtain a driver's license. Whatever the case may be, you should still apply for an ID card. Thankfully, you can quickly do so by visiting one of your local DMV offices.

To get a new ID card, you must simply do the following:

  • Fill out an application form
  • Show proof of identification
  • Present proof of your legal presence in the United States
  • Pay any required fees

Please take note that if you provide proof of residency from a homeless shelter, your application fee will be waived. An official from the shelter must, however, be available to sign the ID application.
