Washington ID Cards

If you do not drive but want or need a form of identification, you can obtain an ID card by visiting your local driving licensing office, providing proof of identity, and paying a fee of $45. For a list of accepted documents visit: http://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/idproof.html

You will need to renew your ID card every five years, either online or by visiting your local driving license office. If you misplaced your ID card or it is damaged beyond repair, you can apply for a replacement online or in person at your local driving license office.

If you would like your ID card to serve as a passport for re-entry into the U.S, you will have to provide proof of residency, proof of citizenship, proof of identity, and proof of social security number. For a list of acceptable documents, visit: http://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/edlproof.html

The fees for renewing an enhanced ID card are different, as you will pay $60 to renew your enhanced ID card or $45 to renew your standard ID card.
